Your main responsibilities will be the documentation of the Horniman's collections in the Horniman's collections management database (Mimsy) and to support other staff with training and written procedures in doing the same.
Curator, River & Rowing Museum
This really is an exciting time to take on the role of Curator here. In the next eighteen months we'll have the best knowledge of our whole collection to date, and urgent work to stabilise the environmental conditions in the galleries will have been completed. The galleries will shift from being predominantly unchanging to having roughly 40% permanent displays, 40% changing displays and 20% active zones for person-led experiences. The Curator will also be responsible for the 'outdoor gallery' including an RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden known as Ratty's Refuge.
