Curator of Photography, VICTORIA & ALBERT MUSEUM
The role is especially focused on curating contemporary photography. The postholder will be expected to represent the Museum at the highest level and play an active role in the field of contemporary photography collecting, nationally and internationally.
As a member of the Art Architecture, Photography and Design, the postholder will also play a role in the wider work of the V&A, contributing to policy, projects and public programmes, supporting fundraising and income generation, and supporting senior colleagues in the running of the Department, including by creating a positive environment, encouraging collaboration across the museum, supporting change, leading and managing Assistant Curators and sharing knowledge, expertise and best practice to help them develop and perform.
Collection Registrar, The Wallace Collection
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Collection Registrar from a registrar or collection management background, to lead primarily on a nascent Loans Out programme at the Wallace Collection. The job holder will also undertake collection management duties when applicable. The Collection Registrar will be responsible for leading, establishing, implementing and maintaining the highest standards of best practice for loans out, making sure condition reports, packing, travel arrangements, insurance and documentation are properly managed.
Preventive Conservator, National Museums Liverpool
This role offers a unique opportunity to work as part of an experienced cross-disciplinary team. Core activities will include enabling continued access to collections by raising collections care standards for the permanent exhibits as well as upcoming exhibitions and stored collections across National Museums Liverpool sites. The post-holder will be responsible for the care of the collections through monitoring and improving environmental and storage conditions, including pest management, in close collaboration with colleagues in conservation and storage management. Core to this role is to bridge the gap between building facilities and collections care and act as the main point of communication between the Estates, Exhibitions, curatorial and Collections Care departments regarding environmental control. The post-holder will promote and develop best practice in conservation and collections care including delivery of a comprehensive training programme.
