Museum Manager, Museum of Brands

We are looking for an energetic, creative and dedicated individual to manage the day-to-day operations of an ambitious young Museum, leading on communications and marketing, and heading up our learning and visitor services departments. Alongside team-members, you will plan and manage the strategic development of the Museum to maximise visitor growth and financial stability.

Network Supervisor - Central Library and Heritage Sites, Bolton Library and Museum Service

Bolton Library and Museum services are seeking a visitor focused Network Supervisor to oversee the frontline delivery of services and development of librraies and museums.Central to this role is the delivery of effective frontline services for our visitors, and the development of engagement with both partner organisations and the community. The postholder will work across a cluster of sites within the library and museum service however the role will have a particular focus on heritage and museums.

The Head of Philanthropy is a new strategic position responsible for leading a high-performing team across major gifts, trusts & foundations, and legacies. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Head of Philanthropy will develop and implement a multi-year strategy to meet the Philanthropy Team's income targets, nurture relationships with donors, and engage new supporters.

Academic position in Public History and Historiography, UCLouvain

The candidate will have teaching assignments in the field of public history (history as it is produced and rewritten for communication to a wide audience) and historiography. In a transperiod perspective, he or she will particularly focus on training students in the communication of history to a wide audience through communicative writing via different media (journals, press, radio, web, etc.) as well as through the institutions of cultural mediation of history (museums, exhibitions, documentation centers, websites, etc.). He or she will also develop attention for innovation in the media of historical mediation (digital, but also the graphic novel, the game, the cultural journey, etc.).

He or she will teach in the various study cycles managed by the Faculty of Philosophy Arts and Letters, and will be responsible for the specialized degree in Communication of History (Master 120) and for the management of internships.

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow In History And Critical Heritage Studies: (Post)Colonial Norway

A fixed-term 100 % position is available at the University of Agder, Faculty of Humanities and Education, as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in History and Critical Heritage Studies: (Post)colonial Norway (Denmark-Norway and/or Sweden-Norway and/or the independent nation-state Norway) affiliated to the Department of Religion, Philosophy and History for a period of two years. The position is located at Campus Kristiansand. The preferred starting date is March 1, 2022.

The position is linked to the Claimed Pasts: Critical Knowledge and Heritage Production research group, an interdisciplinary group comprised of scholars from the history of science, archaeology, critical heritage studies, religious studies, and the natural sciences.
