"Difficult Pasts, Complicated Presents, and Ambiguous Futures: Contested Histories in Archaeological and Historical Museums"
In the last few years, ICOM and its members have reflected upon these difficult issues. This year's ICMAH's annual conference intends to examine some of the "difficult issues" that affect how societies and their histories are represented in museums, and how museums interact with their surroundings.
This is why ICMAH's 2020 Annual Conference subject this year is "Difficult Pasts, Complicated Presents, and Ambiguous Futures: Contested Histories in Archaeological and Historical Museums".
The conference will be held in Bogota Colombia on 21-23 October, 2020, hosted by ICOM Colombia.
Regarding Paper Proposal and Acceptance:
- ICMAH is accepting papers proposals until 31st March, 2020
- The Notice of Acceptance for papers proposals will be announced by 20th April, 2020
