Every Tuesday, join these 30-minute sessions-perfect for kids in elementary to middle school to dig deeper into world cultures, archaeology, and anthropology with demonstrations of hands-on projects you can try at home!

What is Mancala? Mancala is an ancient game from Africa that was originally played by digging shallow holes in the ground. 

Create your own mancala board with paper and learn a simple version of the game.  Recommended Materials: Paper and pencils, crayons, or markers.

Newtown Jerpoint is located west of the Cistercian Jerpoint Abbey and was first incorporated as a borough in the early 13th century. The town was situated on the main crossing on the River Nore, giving Jerpoint its name which means 'Nore bridge'.
